Our guide Andrew from the Kalum & Skeena river, sent us a little update today, with the lodge currently on a closed season, it gives Andrew the chance to go out and try and catch a few fish himself.
I have enclosed a couple photos of the Kalum And Skeena this week.
Made a few casts in the Kalum today and had a nice Steelhead, which put up a rather acrobatic fight, jumping clean out of the water many times! I also had another good take at the pool right in front of the lodge. Temperature was plus 3, so plenty warm enough for fishing, and alot warmer than it has been! (as you will see from the pictures!) Good fishing like this in the winter, usually means we should be in for an excellent run on spring fish, which will set us up perfectly for when our guiding starts later in March.
Best regards
Andrew Rushton
