CARACAS ART MUSEUM 
During your Caracas stay be sure to reserve some time for a visit to this lovely art museum whose theme is contemporary work. Its collection is known throughout the world, and exhibits include names such as Picasso, Bacon, Red Grooms and Henry Moore. 

CARACAS PARK 
This beautiful park with various flora and fauna, nine lakes, a cactus garden, aviary, planetarium and more is a true oasis for anyone who wants to walk, jog, row a boat, picnic or visit its attractions. 

PANTEÓN NACIONAL 
The Panteón Nacional, formerly a church, became the resting place for prominent Venezuelans in the 1870's. The central nave is dedicated to Simon Boliver, with paintings depicting his life and accomplishments. 

GALERIA DE ARTE NACIONAL 
Known around town as the "GAN," the interesting National Art Gallery, across the circular Plaza Morelos from the Museum of Natural Science, displays more than 4,000 works of art from Venezuela's proud past. 

JARDIN BOTANICO 
Created in 1944, Caracas Botanical Garden is a display of exuberant nature. It contains more than 2,000 native and non-indigenous species as well as more than 100 types of palms and four greenhouses for bromeliads, ferns, orchids and shade plants.

ANGEL WATERFALL 
Due to the relative proximity to Caracas and its breathtaking beauty, you should consider making a trek to Venezuela's Parque Nacional Canaima. It's an enormous national park that's full of natural beauty, but nothing else in the park compares to the stunning sight of the 2648 ft Angel Falls (15 times higher than Canada's Niagara Falls). The falls can be toured via helicopter, boat or on foot. 

CARACAS CATHEDRAL 
Situated on the city's famed Plaza Bolívar, this historic cathedral dates back to 1665, built on the ruins of the old cathedral destroyed by an earthquake in 1641. The cathedral is grand in the Baroque style, with hand-carved altars, a private chapel and a number of paintings by famous masters. 

PARQUE LOS CHORROS 
Located at the foot of Caracas' Avila Mountain, Parque Los Chorros consists of 4.5 hectares of exuberant nature including the only natural waterfall in a capital city park. The landscape spans several levels with a descent of more than 100 steps, tunnels, bridges and benches from which to contemplate large trees, mountain springs and lush vegetation.
