There are actually more than 8,000 lakes as well as three large rivers, offering almost all kinds of fishing. Fish during the long light days and nights of summer, creep along a lake shore or river bank and cast into the mirrored surface that is only disturbed by insects and wakeful fish. Or sit on a rock at a rapid and watch the fly following the stream, suddenly to be swallowed by a large fresh fish.
Arjeplog lies nestled in a landscape of mighty forests, mountains, high and wild fells, lakes and waterways. Here, there are untamed rivers and thousands of lakes, among them the 226m deep Hornavan, Sweden's deepest lake. Arjeplog offers fabulous nature experiences, whether you come to fish, hike or just to visit. This has to be one of the most excellent places you will ever have the chance to fish. You can spend a whole month and never fish the same stretch of water twice, surely a fly fishing heaven. On these holidays you will be fully escorted by our local guides, who have lived and fished these waters all their lives.
