As the last week of the Gillhams group trip draws to a close, Dave Plummer reports of what a week it's been! Check out the full report and pictures...

On Sunday the 14th only Martin Hodgkinson fished, he had a great day though, landing a 120lb Mekong Catfish, 2x 30lb 1 x 70lb and 1 x 90lb Siamese Carp and 2 x Amazon Red Tail Catfish of 26 and 40lb.

Monday 15th and everyone was back fishing again as keen as mustard; Barry Lacey 140lb Mekong Catfish, 40lb Siamese Carp and a 25lb Amazon Red Tail Catfish. Martin Hodgkinson 2 x Siamese Carp and a Hovens Carp. Ray Stott 8 x Amazon Red Tail Catfish to 40lbs, one Arapaima of 270lbs and one Asian Red Tail Catfish. Derek Smedley 1 x Amazon Red Tail and new arrival Gorden Tiffen lost a beast of a Mekong at the nest when his hook snapped the fish was in excess of 200lb he went on to land a 45lb Siamese Carp and a Black Pacu.

Tuesday 16th turned out to be another good day, Derek Smedley landed 2 x Siamese Carp. Ray Stott landed a 65lb Siamese Carp and 1 x Spotted Feather Back. Martin Hodgkinson Alligator Gar 30lb, Big Head Carp x 1, Tambaqui x1, and one Siamese Carp, Gorden Tiffen 7 x Siamese Carp to 45lb, 1 x Striped Catfish 20lb, 1 x Amazon Redtail Catfish. Barry Lacey 1 x Siamese Carp and one Shovel Nosed Spotted Sorubim. Ken Scott 3 x Arapaima 80lb 190lb and 240 lb, 8 x Amazon Redtail to 40lb, 2 x Julian’s Golden Prize Carp to 20lb.

Thursday 18th… Blimey I am glad I am having a holiday next week I am knackered! Some good fish today the boys are loving it, two weeks is good for them as they are all settled now and in tune with the lake. Gorden Tiffen has really settled in quick landing Mekong Catfish of 100lb and 220lb, plus 1 x Amazon Redtail Catfish. Martin Hodgkinson 2 x Mekong Catfish of 100lbs and 200lbs 1 x Arapaima of 100lbs and 1 x Asian Redtail Catfish. Barry Lacey 2 x Julian Golden Prize Carp to 30lbs, 1 x Spotted Featherback, 1 x Tambaqui 20lbs, 1 x Siamese Carp and an Asian Redtail Catfish. Ray Stott followed up his 80lb arapaima on a fly with a 35lb Amazon Redtail Catfish.Ken Scott 70lb Siamese Carp. Derek Smedley 1 x 45lb Siamese Carp.

Two week and lots of big fish nice one Dad! Even catching huge Arapaima on the fly!
