Andrew Rushton reports that there's been smiles allround at the Kalum River Lodge, on the river Skeena as Phil Barkers hosted Salmon fishing trip turns out to be another great success! Take it away Andrew...!
We have just finished another fantastic week with Phil Barker's hosted group. Fishing on the Skeena River was good and on their best day the anglers hooked over 80 salmon. They landed all five species of Pacific salmon along with some fresh Steelhead, Cutthroat trout and Char.
First time fly angler Mike Tracey was soon into some good fish on the Skeena and landed a super Chum salmon on the Kitimat River.
Steve Lobley who had not caught a salmon before, hooked into several on his first morning. Repeat client Tony Fairclough enjoyed another great week's fishing and was already talking about returning next year before he had finished his last day!
Here are just a few of the many photos of the fish caught this past week.
Best Regards
Andrew
