Sharks, Jacks, Lady Fish, Snapper... Just Another Day In Florida With Dave Plummer!
After yesterdays excellent fishing at the back country, I couldn’t possibly suggest going anywhere else today, so the plan was to head up there again, and see what we could do.
The fishing carried on in the same vein, and it didn’t take long for something to take an interest in our live mullet, the first fish of the day was a fantastic 110lb Lemon Shark, and what a way to start the session. Throughout the day the rods were constantly in and out of the water, and the sharks were obviously hungry for the mullet livebaits, as we landed a further five fish to 160lb, these being a mixture of Lemon and Bull Sharks.
In between catching and landing the sharks the customers had a dabble with a couple of light jigging rods, which have been a recent addition to the boat. These kept everyone busy, with numerous Lady Fish, Jacks and Snappers falling to the small jigs, providing excellent light tackle sport. After another cracking session we retired to the house for a well deserved drink, as we sat around the table plans were already being hatched on what to do tomorrow…
Watch this space... Will keep you posted.
Cheers Dave
