Sea of Cortez Dreams Palmas Cortez Mexico
fishing overview
The sheer beauty and wild remoteness of this area on the East Cape of the Baja Peninsula, coupled with the beauty of the beaches and sea, makes this a place of dreams.
Big Game fishing at its best! This amazing resort has become known worldwide as one of the premier vacation and big-game fishing spots in the world, consistently producing huge numbers of blue, black and striped Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna and Roosterfish. If you are looking for the finest new fibreglass 28' or 32' cruisers, with highly skilled local skippers and deckhands, or close to the action fast sleek 23' or 25', super panga’s, there is a boat and skipper for all of you. All our boats are fish catching machines equipped with radios, live bait wells, ice chests, sunshades, marine heads and fish savvy skippers.
The hotel is one of the few first-class fishing resorts you will find in the enchanting Baja wilderness - a world apart from the sameness of Mexico's over-commercialized resort centres. It is situated on a sandy beach, on the legendary Sea of Cortez, with miles of untouched white sandy beaches, for superb shore fishing, the best in Baja. Each morning you will meet your captain, boat and crew, from the floating dock right off the beach, where you will depart for either inshore fishing, chasing Rooster fish and Jacks, or alternatively doing battle with the likes of Dorado, Tuna and Sailfish and, of course, the mighty Marlin. The hotel is in a lodge like setting in the peaceful little village of Los Barriles. A striking new grand entryway greets you as you wind your way past a fully stocked gift shop to the beach side palapa bar.
