Sea fishing Suðureyri Iceland

overview
Suðureyri is on the west coast of Iceland and perfectly situated for sea fishing, just inside on of the western fjords this town has everything the travelling angler can look for.

Fishing via our professional self drive boats is only a matter of minutes away, and then you can be fishing away for both huge Halibut and Cod. Suðureyri is also where in 2010 a 270 Kilo halibut was landed.

We have made this destination easy to travel to, packaged with all flights both international and internal, plus all ground transfers. Combine this with the great accommodation of 3 brand new cabins suitable for up to 5 people and our professional boats makes this the perfect sea fishing get away.

Our boats are Icelandic made Seigla boats, which are tailor-made for sea fishing on the open sea around Iceland. The boats are 7.80 meter long and 2.85 meter wide with 130 horse power turbo diesel engine (inboard engine). On board we provide all the equipment you need: GPS plotter, Eco-load, Radio to coast-guard, GPS security signal, life vest, lifeboat, extra tank for fuel and rod rests.

Fishing can be found with in just 10 mins boat ride or if you prefer you can go further afield and fish the open seas.

Note: To drive these boats in Iceland you are required to have a skippers certificate: If you do not currently hold a certificate, it is not a problem as your guides will give you full training on driving the boats, safety equipment and emergency procedures. You will then, once you have demonstrated that you have learned the basic knowledge be issued with a boat certificate. This process will normally take 1.5 hours

NORTERN LIGHTS

Watch the Northern Lights From September to April the Northern Lights become more visible. These dancing lights are a one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. From the clear, dark northern skies of Iceland, nothing will impede your view of nature’s greatest dance.

THE BLUE LAGOON

Iceland’s most famous geothermal pool is the country’s top tourist attraction. It might be crowded and expensive but there’s nothing like it in the world. This huge, milky-blue spa is fed by mineral-rich heated seawater from the nearby geothermal plant. Add the silvery towers of the plant, rolling clouds of steam, and people covered in white mud, you’ll think you are in the twilight zone.
