This trip is the perfect adventure for any passionate angler whether you are a saltwater fly fishing addict or prefer to fish with spinning gear. Turneffe Flats Belize
10 days / 6 Fishing days
Turneffe Flats has long been recognized as one of Belize's premier saltwater fly fishing destinations. Awaken in your air-conditioned beachfront cabana to an incredible tropical seascape of white sand beach, expansive bonefish flats, lush mangroves and the surf breaking over the reef for miles in either direction. Watch a spectacular sunrise from your verandah and when night falls, the stars look close enough to touch. Ideally located to enjoy all of Turneffe’s 250 square miles of expansive flats, healthy coral reef and remarkably rich marine habitat.
This magical atoll has quickly risen to iconic status in the world of saltwater fly fishing and for good reason. The flats fishing for Bonefish, Indo-Pacific Permit and a host of Trevally species is simply world class! For many years non residents were banned from visiting her shores, but thankfully the red tape has finally been cleared to legally allow us to use the luxurious MY Gryphon for live aboard trips to St Brandon’s.
Seasons to travel: The first part of the season runs from early October until mid December and the second part from early April until the end of May. As St Brandon is situated in the cyclonic belt it’s wisely rested from the end of December until late in May, which falls in the cyclone season. From June through to September the strong winter south-east monsoon winds blow incessantly which brings cold water onto the flats and makes fly fishing an unpleasant experience.

The “Marls of Abaco” are a vast expanse of prime, wilderness bonefish habitat, situated along the western shore of Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas. The Marls have long been known by well-travelled bonefish fly anglers as one of the most unique and productive fisheries in the Bahamas. “Abaco Lodge” has now been added to our portfolio of the finest properties to host our first guests, April 20th, 2009.

Bonefish and Giant Trevally Fishing Christmas Island
12 days / 6 Fishing days
Christmas Island has a myriad of diverse habitats and endless flats, unique in its opportunities for both the novice and the expert fly angler. Virtually all fly-fishing is wading casting to visible fish in shallow water. Bonefish average 2-4 pounds with numerous opportunities at larger specimens in the 5-10 pound class. Trevally, (Giant, Golden, Blue Fin, and Striped) of which our guides are highly skilled in their pursuit, provide anglers with a completely different challenge.
With our Cuba partners, we now have access to the exclusive fishing rights on the designated Cayo Largo Natural Reserve, which encompasses some 140 square miles of saltwater flats and channels. This has to be one of the best places in the world to catch a grand slam and supper grand slam all on the fly, just check out all the details.
This is flat's fishing far beyond your wildest dreams! The Isle of Youth lays 100km off the coast of mainland Cuba, nearly straight south of Havana. It is a large island, 2200 sq. km, about fifty miles across, and somewhat round in shape. The area we fish is gigantic, an area seventy-five miles of saltwater flats that had not been sport fished for over fifty years until we opened our operation in 2006. You can choose to stay at either our hotel or the luxury of our live aboard yacht and your own private fishing safari.
Being a qualified fly casting and game fishing instructor, regardless if you are a complete beginner, intermediate or experienced fly angler, by joining us and Jack on one of our hosted trips you will get to experience exciting fly fishing and light tackle spinning in possibly the most prolific salt- water destination in the northern hemisphere.
Have you ever fancied one of the greatest challenges for a fly angler? The thrill and excitement of catching Tarpon over 100lb on the fly has to be experienced to be believed. Watch these fish flash at surface poppers as they skip the surface. Tarpon are truly one of the most magnificent fish that occupy the waters of the Florida Keys.
Los Roques Archipelago, which lies 80 miles off Venezuela’s mainland, along the Caribbean Sea, is considered among the best bonefish fishing locations in the World. Appointed as a National Park, long-line anglers have been forbidden and others kinds of fishing have been restricted. As a result, the amount of fish living there has increased steadily, while other types of game fish have emerged into these protected waters, like big Tarpon in its 80lb and even 100lb, all of which can be sight – cast to by wading or from the boat. Big Permit and enormous Snook in 20lb class have also been hooked and released.
While some fishermen search the world's waters for giant Tarpon, those that weigh well over 100 pounds-perhaps even more anglers look for areas where schools of small Tarpon are found. Their reason is sound. First of all, it is not as tiring to land a small Tarpon as it is to land a giant. Secondly, the sporting challenge is preserved by using light tackle.
In Cayo Largo you can bonefish on white sand flats while your family enjoys the breathtaking beaches; enjoys a cocktail in the hotel pool, or participates in one of the numerous activities the resort offers.
This great resort provides fantastic salt-water fly-fishing for anglers and provides a great safe, exciting and entertaining destination that you can bring and enjoy with your family. The beachfront location of this resort provides several amenities for your enjoyment, whether it is arranging for a massage in our lodge massage room or a day out on the flats.
