Sad Loss Of A Good Friend
It was with a very heavy heart that I received the news of a very long time customer and friend Mike Clarke had sadly passed away on 27th November to continue his passion in fly fishing heaven.
For all of you who were lucky enough to have met Mike, shared fishing or his company will know what a sad loss it is to the angling world, he was always such a gentleman as both customer to deal with or as a friend to share fishing holidays with. I am sure Mike will wish everyone to remember him when he was at his happiest, relaxing with a nice Cubera Libra after a hot fun day chasing down Bonefish and Tarpon in Cuba.
Mike will surely be missed by everyone; especially his family who has invited any friends to join them for drinks to celebrate his life and love of fishing at the details below. The family has also asked that only floral tributes come from family members but if you wish please feel free to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation.
Funeral Details Church service held at St Nicolas Church, 208 Long Road, Canvey Island, SS8 0JR at 1.15 pm. This will be followed by a short service at the Basildon crematorium, Church Road, Bowers Gifford, Basildon, Essex, SS13 2HG at 2.40 pm.
Celebration of Mikes life at the Oysterfleet Hotel, (Oysterfleet Hotel bar and restaurant), Knightswick Road, Canvey Island, SS8 9PA.
Mike rest in peace and make sure you find all the top Bonefish and Tarpon spots in heaven for when our time comes to join you again.
Regards Peter Collingsworth
