Bonefish and Giant Trevally Fishing Christmas Island
days / days fishing
Christmas Island has a myriad of diverse habitats and endless flats, unique in its opportunities for both the novice and the expert fly angler. Virtually all fly-fishing is wading casting to visible fish in shallow water. Bonefish average 2-4 pounds with numerous opportunities at larger specimens in the 5-10 pound class. Trevally, (Giant, Golden, Blue Fin, and Striped) of which our guides are highly skilled in their pursuit, provide anglers with a completely different challenge.

Fishing for Giant Trevally can and do break both angler’s nerves and fishing tackle. Imagine presenting your fly to fish that can exceed 100lb in shallow water with just enough to cover their backs. The rush of excitement as the water explodes and both your fly and line disappear off to the horizon as you have hooked on to the back of an express train. Good luck for you will need it.
