Paul Stevens is one of the newest members of the Angling Direct Holidays team, who previously worked with our retail group Angling Direct as a tackle consultant. Although Paul’s main duties are working as a travel consultant, his passion for sea fishing and talking with our customers soon had him hosting groups to some exciting sea fishing destinations. He has even managed to grow the sea fishing market and consequently working along side another member of staff Chris Collins have been responsible for bringing on some great new exciting big Cod and Halibut sea fishing holiday destinations.

Well it’s no surprise when the fishing is as varied with fish approaching the maximum size possible for their species in these nutrient rich waters surrounding Sørøya. The cod fishing is truly exceptional and in 2008 more than 10 fish weighing over 60lbs were caught - The biggest cod of the season weighing in at an astounding 75lbs! To give you some idea about the fishing in Sørøya Cod around the 20k mark are considered small and quite often are released quickly with out pictures so the angler can get back down to try and catch a more trophy size fish.
