PANAMA CANAL
The so-called "Eighth Wonder of the World" is indisputably Panama's most fascinating and popular attraction. The 80-kilometer-long canal connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans allowing ships to sail through the Continental Divide.
SUMMIT BOTANICAL GARDENS AND ZOO
This small zoo can be found in Soberania National Park, just 20 minutes from downtown Panama City. Among its popular residents are jaguars, scarlet macaws, tapirs, and monkeys – all housed in their natural habitats?
THE CAUSEWAY
The Amador Causeway is a strip of man made land connecting islands to the mainland. On these islands there are lots of restaurants for fine dining and a marina. At night you get a spectacular view of Panama City.
CAVE EXPLORATION TOUR

MONKEY ISLAND TOUR

PANAMA NATURAL PARK This unspoiled urban park covers 655 acres and is only a 10 minute drive north of downtown. The rainforest setting is home to monkeys, white-tailed deer, sloths, and more than 200 species of birds, including orioles, toucans, and parakeets. Visitors may stroll along several nature paths, the best of which is the 2-kilometre La Cienaguita trail, which affords gorgeous views overlooking the city. A greenhouse with native orchids, a small museum, a library, and a gift shop are onsite.

EMBERIAN INDIAN VILLAGE One of the most popular local tours begins just a tour from Panama city. Take a motorized canoe, the only means of transportation in the jungle, up a scenic rainforest river, to an authentic Embera Indian Village. The village Indians will share their native foods, perform a tribal dance and offer authentic body paintings, while explaining their way of life, traditions and beliefs.
