Venezuela has everything; it has South America’s largest lake, the third longest river, the world’s highest waterfall plus tropical beaches, immense plains, forests, jungle and awesome mountains. Caracas is a huge, vibrant city and is typical of the new Venezuela, despite being one of the oldest established cities in the country. There are still pockets that reveal the past, despite modernisation. The magnet for many visitors is the 4000km (2800 miles) of coastline, with it’s excellent beaches and resorts, ranging from luxurious to the unashamedly opulent. Venezuela has some of the most spectacular landscapes you’ll ever see, such as the snow-capped peaks of the Andes in the west, steamy Amazonian jungles in the south and the beautiful Gran Sabana Plateau with its strange flat-topped mountains in the east.
The Caribbean coast is ideal for outdoor activities such as snorkelling, scuba-diving and fishing and the country s beaches are at their best here, with long expanses of white sand, lapped by turquoise waters fringed with coconut palms. The Amazon jungle is an area with tropical rainforest, crisscrossed by rivers and home to a number of isolated Indian tribes. Sandwiched between Colombia and Guyana, Venezuela can be divided into four distinct zones: the Caribbean Coast, the Northern extremities of the Andes, the low lying plains of the Llanos and the rainforest of the Orinoco and Amazon basins.
With all this water of lakes and rivers flowing through tropical rainforests plus miles of stunning coastline, it is no wonder that for many years now Venezuela has been at the centre of Peacock Bass, Bone and Permit fishing. Although this fishing is done in different areas it is possible to fit combination tours allowing you to not only see all the different sides of this country but to have the chance of catching a Peacock Bass and Bonefish on the same trip.
What our customers have to say:
- "Thanks for the perfect combination, we just loved the bonefish and the Peacock Bass, much appreciated." John White
- "Everything ran like a dream. " Martin Walker
- "Book us again please just must get back, in a nutshell we loved it. " Dr Moore
