After many successful trips to Bangkok and many requests from single anglers wishing to join a group escorted trip, we are now pleased to announce our all new group trip's escorted and hosted by Peter Collingsworth. By day you will do battle with Giant's like Mekong Catfish, Arapaima and Redtail Catfish, then at night have the opportunity to either take a relaxing massage and soothe those aching muscles or for those with energy left, party until the early hours of the morning with Bangkok's many attractions. Just try and get enough sleep so you can go fishing the next day!

These group trips consist of Five days of unbelievable fishing. First there's three days at our new Predator lake, this lake is located 2 hours drive from Bangkok. The water is around 5 acres with grass banks all round which offers awesome fishing for numerous Thai native and non-native predator species, either by lure or fly fishing.  The lake is inhabited by a big population of Arapaima (lots of them) up to 180 kg, Amazonian Redtail Catfish up to 45kg, Asian Redtail Catfish (Pla Kot Kang) up to 20 kg, Sorubim or Tiger Shovelnose up to 10 kg, Redtail Tiger (Hybrid) up to 12 kg, Tambaqui up to 20 kg, Barramundi up to 10 kg, Alligator Gar up to 15 kg, Peacock Bass up to 3kg , Pacu up to 11 kg, Giant Pangasius up to 8 kg, Black Ear Catfish (Pla Tepo) up to 8 kg, Wallago attu up to 10 kg, Wallago leeri up to 7 kg, Arawana up to 3 kg, Mystus nemurus, etc.

Walking around this lake you find opportunities to fish on both surface and along the bottom. But keep your eyes keen as there's nothing like spotting one of the lakes' large Arapaima inhabitants lurking in the margins hunting baitfish, carefully present either your fly or lure and one of the most explosive takes will erupt, proceeded with a fish over 8 feet long ripping off your line like a mad express train. (Good job the lake is only 5 acres otherwise we would never stop them). This lake is strictly open for lure and fly fishing only, as generally live or dead bait fishing is prohibited. However, we have made a special exclusive agreement with the lake's owner, so if you fancy a change, starting 2.00 pm to 7.30 pm, our clients are allowed to fish free lining or bottom fishing using live or dead bait.

Your holiday starts and ends in Bangkok so for the last two days of you will be fishing for Giant Catfish at Bung Sam Lan. The Mekong Giant Catfish in Bung Sam Lan originates from The Mekong River, hence, the name. They are known as the real giants of the Catfish world, pound for pound these fish embarrass other Catfish species into submission. Once hooked into one of these giants you will just wonder when and if it will ever give up. But be warned, once you have landed your prize, weighed it, taken the catch photos, re-baited and cast out again you could be going through all that pain again, within five minutes.

Each trip consists of 7 night's accommodation and 5 days guided fishing. The success of any memorable guided fishing trip depends upon the professionalism of the organizers, on their knowledge of the territory and most of all on the fishing expertise of the guide. Bung Sam Lan Lake Bungalow. (Day use)

At Bung Sam Lan boarded lakes you will have your own private hut for safe storage of all your equipment and relief from the hot sun. Facilities include a kettle for boiling water - perfect for a cup of tea. All bungalows have running water, 240 Volt electricity, which is ideal to plug in a well needed fan. There is a small room for a short nap, but why would any serious angler even consider this? More importantly, fishing is done on a private wooden platform attached to the bungalow. What more can you ask for?

An Angling Direct Holiday guide will be with each hut and will accompany you for the duration of your stay and be on hand to provide you with all the local fishing knowledge you require. Relax as we take all the hassle of arriving at your destination away for you. All clients are transferred to and from the airport on arrival and departure. All transportation to and from the fishing locations is provided in well appointed air conditioned vehicles.

This small friendly 3 star hotel is just ideal for fishing at the predator lake. Just 15 minutes away you will find clean simple rooms, complete with there own private bath, shower, toilet and sink. All rooms have full air conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities along with full room service. The hotel is on a bed and breakfast basis where you take a buffet style breakfast every morning. Evening meals are taken at many of the local restaurants on the way back from your days fishing.

2	Arrive BANGKOK (BKK) PM On arrival you will be met by our Angling Direct Holiday's representative, who will then transfer you to the hotel accommodation of your choice. Your first evening free to explore the sights and sounds of Bangkok. Overnight accommodation: hotel of your choice, Bangkok B/B
3	At 8 am we will all be picked up by our air conditioned minibus and transferred the two hours to the Predator lake. On arrival meet the guides pick up the lure rods and start fishing. Note: At 2pm we have exclusive permission to start fishing with livebait's and the fun will really begin. Fishing is normally till around 7.30pm. Transfer back to your hotel stopping along the way with your guides to have your evening meal in one of the many restaurants. Overnight accommodation: Riverside Hotel B/B
4	After breakfast depart to the lake for a full days predator fishing. 7.30pm return again stopping for evening meal Overnight accommodation: Riverside Hotel B/B

6 to 7	Breakfast is served at the hotel from 6am. Pick up for private transfer to Bung Sam Lan boarded lake, Daytime accommodation in one of the private Thai style huts with your own large fishing pontoon. 8	Free day to relax and explore. At around 8 PM you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred back to BKK international airport. Note: You have your room until it is time to depart.

When you are ready to book your holiday, our consultants will take down all particulars and take a deposit payment, please make sure that before making any booking that you have read our terms and conditions. At the time of the booking we will ask you to correctly spell the first and last name of each traveling member, as some flights will need to be ticketed at the time of booking and due to airline regulations no name changes can be made, once a ticket has been issued. On receipt of the deposit we will send the lead booker a “Booking Form” and a deposit receipt invoice which becomes the legal contract between Angling Direct Holidays and your party.
