A place where the accommodation, hospitality, fishing guides and boats that are fully equipped with the latest high quality Shimano fishing tackle. We have jointly worked very hard to exclusively bring you this new destination where you can catch seemingly unlimited numbers and species of world class saltwater game fish, all in an exotic landscape of pristine ocean waters and lush tropical islands. This new operation is so remote that it has been subjected to very little fishing pressure. Imagine if you can, a fishing destination where you cast your lure or fly around the archipelagos of Coiba, Montuosa, Jicarón and the numerous smaller islands that all surround Panama’s world famous Hannibal Bank. Just take a look at the species list on the right hand side of the page, these fish are available everyday.

Fishing can be divided into three main categories, offshore, inshore and fly fishing. All provide the most heart stopping action you will have ever encountered or ever imagined. Monster Black and Blue Marlin with huge schools of Wahoo and giant Yellowfin Tuna, Pacific Sailfish and Dorado are all found around our waters. The average weight of the Marlin is around 300 to 700 pounds, with some just topping the magical 1000lb weight, these fish are caught with a mixture of trolling lures and livebait. Giant Yellowfin Tuna average 200 to 300-pounds and provide fantastic sport on either trolling lures or surface poppers. Pacific Sailfish exceeding 100 pounds and big Dorado can also be taken on light conventional tackle and fly rods. For fast action, try trolling for Wahoo where multiple hook-ups are common as these speedsters attack your lures.

The inshore fishing action is nothing short of pure aggression, with predators such as Cubera Snapper, Roosterfish and huge Amberjacks just to mention a few that will all attack surface lures and flies that are cast amongst the many sandy beaches and rocky coastlines. Be warned though, these game fish can be deadly with arm-wrenching strikes and unstoppable runs, reaching back down into the depths and rocks resulting in many cut offs. For a change and a rest why not have some great fun tackling the light tackle inshore fishing, with fish like Snook, Pompano, Jacks and Snappers along with many other willing species just waiting to strike your lure.

Year round excitement can also be found casting your fly on the often flat-calm waters around the Islands for big Snappers, Jacks and Snook. This is heart pounding action as you’re blind casting or sight casting to bait schools and surface feeding game fish, often not knowing what species will be next to attack your fly. For the more adventurous there is always the offshore bait-and-switch for Sailfish, along with sight casting to busting large Yellowfin Tuna, both of which will not only push you but also all your fly tackle to the ultimate limit.

Shimano Lodge (Brand New For 2008)

Brand new lodge finished in December 2007 exclusively for Angling Direct Holidays and Shimano set in its own 6 acres of landscaped gardens with stunning views across the water, enabling you to see Coiba, Montuosa, Jicarón, and the numerous smaller islands that all surround Panama’s world famous Hannibal Bank.

Accommodation is in one of the 4 separate house. House one consists of, 5 separate double bed rooms, 2 bathrooms and a main central lounge area. House's two and three each consists of, 2 separate double bed rooms, 1 bathroom and a main central lounge area. Finally house four consists of 3 separate double bed rooms, 1 bathroom and a main central lounge area.

The lodge has its own pool with swim up bar, all the accommodation has air conditioning and is on a full board basis. Meals are local home cooked food made from local produce / catches. All meals are served in our large open sided dinning hut, which is a great place to wine and dine as you exchange all those magical fishy stories.

9 - Days / 5 - Days Guided Fishing

Day 1	Depart HEATHROW AIRPORT (LHR) with BRITISH AIRWAYS AM Arrive MIAMI (MIA) PM Depart MIAMI (MIA) with AMERICAIN AIRLINES PM Arrive PANAMA CITY (PTY) PM On Arrival you will walk through the terminal building, outside you will see a main taxi rank. Take a taxi to the Hotel Veneto & Casino in Panama City. This takes approx 20 min's and costs and average $30 Rest of the evening is yours to either relax or explore Panama City's many clubs and bars. Overnight: Accommodation Hotel Veneto & Casino R/O
Day 2	Early in the morning take a 15 min taxi ride from your hotel to Marcos A. Gelabert Airport (average $30) for your flight from Panama City to David (Dah-veeds) On arrival you will be picked up by our lodge staff in our minibus and transported to our main lodge. Day 3 to 6	After breakfast make your way down to the boats. Fishing is based on two anglers one boat and captain. You can discuss with your captain what you wish to fish for and how you wish to fish for them, as all methods are available Overnight: Accommodation Shimano Lodge F/B
Day 7	After breakfast depart for a half day inshore fishing Depart camp lunchtime via minibus's to David (Dah-veeds) Airport. (Approx 2.5 hours). Fly from David (Dah-veeds) Airport to Marcos A. When you are ready to book your holiday, our consultants will take down all particulars and take a deposit payment, please make sure that before making any booking that you have read our terms and conditions. At the time of the booking we will ask you to correctly spell the first and last name of each traveling member, as some flights will need to be ticketed at the time of booking and due to airline regulations no name changes can be made, once a ticket has been issued. On receipt of the deposit we will send the lead booker a “Booking Form” and a deposit receipt invoice which becomes the legal contract between Angling Direct Holidays and your party
