Madeira is an absolutely ideal destination for that dedicated family "Divorce Free Holiday". In the past Madeira's warm summers and mild winters have only traditionally attracted the 'older generation'. But, that's all now changing as more and more younger people realise just what this great family destination has to offer. No you are not going to find miles and miles of deserted sandy beaches with bars and clubs. But what you will find is a destination that has more to see and do than most of those places put together. Madeira is different and is also proud that it breaks the mould.

For here you have a holiday that includes opportunities to the capital to soak up the atmosphere and indulge your culture taste buds or to shop and find some local souvenirs, such as Madeira's famous basket/tapestry work or fine wine, for an eternal reminder of your holiday. You could spend hours and hours walking/trekking, viewing the many gardens with their tropical plants/flowers, or travel inland exploring the wonderful scenery of this volcanic island. Plus there are of course water sports and championship Golf courses. In our standard itinerary we include two days on a boat with our captain. You can use these days, subject to the time of year, to either fish for record breaking size Blue Marlin, that can exceed well over 1000 lb, or in the winter months, catch the cheaters of the sea, Wahoo. Alternatively you can use your two days to cruise around looking for Dolphins and Whales, that frequent the Madeira coast.

Accommodation is at the Eden Mar. This four star hotel will extend you a true Madeira welcome, just as it has to our loyal guests, over many years. The Eden Mar is an ideal choice for those who require just a little more comfort, as it is only 100 yards from the sea and is surrounded by outdoor cafes, shops and restaurants, plus many leisure time facilities. Accommodation is comfortable and homely. Studios and suites have been elegantly designed. All balconies overlook the ocean to provide that perfect setting for meals or tranquil moments watching the world sail by. All studios and suites are fully air-conditioned and fitted with their own kitchenettes, perfect for those times you prefer to cater 'chez vous'. When you choose to be pampered, you can enjoy the Eden Mar 'Le Restaurant', with it’s wide choice of excellent cuisine and wines. Outside, mature gardens and luscious sub-tropical gardens are a feature of the hotel's grounds. Majestic palms, rising skyward, flank the path to the outdoor pool, where you can relax in the sun and swim away your cares. A gym, squash court, indoor pool, whirlpool and outside bar are amongst other facilities available at this great hotel.

When you are ready to book your holiday, our consultants will take down all particulars and take a deposit payment, please make sure that before making any booking that you have read our terms and conditions. At the time of the booking we will ask you to correctly spell the first and last name of each traveling member, as some flights will need to be ticketed at the time of booking and due to airline regulations no name changes can be made, once a ticket has been issued. On receipt of the deposit we will send the lead booker a “Booking Form” and a deposit receipt invoice which becomes the legal contract between Angling Direct Holidays and your party.

2. 20 to 30Lb heavy duty spin / stand up boat rod and reel - 25Lb mono.
3. Selection of lures, floater divers and sinkers for shore fishing.
4. 12 weight salt water fly rod and reel.
5. 12 weight fly line.
6. Selection of tarpon / sailfish style flies, (poppers)
