Explore stark red cliffs, white sandy beaches and clear tropical waters at the edge of the Arafura Sea where the fish are as abundant as the people are sparse. You are sure to enjoy your experience as this is pure fishing dream time.

Explore ancient rock paintings, gain access to a protected, highly restricted region of Arnhem Land with the special permission of the traditional landowners. Enjoy bird watching, billabong cruises, crocodile spotting, barramundi fishing, swimming in fresh rock holes, bush walking, and 4 wheel drive adventure. Appreciate bush tucker, explore catacombs, investigate paper bark swamps and rainforest whilst spotting wildlife and viewing the exotic flora in this fascinating ecosystem.

Explore the pristine beaches or just lay back and relax in the tranquility of a remote wilderness environment that is unmatched in its beauty and diversity. What our customers have to say:

  • "True outback, we can now see why the Australians love their fishing." Mr & Mrs J R Wright
  • "Eat your heart out Rex Hunt, we just filled our boots with fish, wow what a county ." John Willson
  • "The sea fishing is amazing, fish jumping all over the place. The only bad thing is, it really shows now how poor fishing really is in the UK. " Mark Clifford

Davidson’s, a permanent safari camp set among pristine bilabongs full of Crocodiles and Barramundi. Water birds, ducks and geese line the shores of the billabong, whilst ancient escarpment lies all around you. Fish the waters of the local bilabongs with your own Private Guide, abundant with species such as Tarpon, Black Bream, ArcherFish and Alligator Garfish. But the Barramundi, sometimes weighing in at 20kg, is the sought after Trophy – what the Territory is renowned for. The beauty of your stay is that you can do as much or as little as you want to. The fully conversant Guides are ready to showcase this unique area. Take a refreshing swim in one of the crystal clear and crocodile-free rock pools, or just sit in the shade of a rocky overhang and enjoy the idyllic surroundings as you plan your next activity.

Bush walking is a great way to discover the botanical wonders of the area, some of the plant species here are found nowhere else in the world, along with insect species such as the beautifully coloured Leichhardt's Grasshopper. Don't be surprised if a dingo, rock wallaby or goanna crosses your path, and the birdlife is incredible, home to more than 200 species. Comfortable, airy twin-share tents with 240-volt power and external lighting surround the main complex, a social hub fully screened and incorporating a kitchen, dining area, library and briefing room. Delicious home-style meals are served in the dining room and nourishing picnic lunches and refreshments supplied for all-day excursions.

Rock paintings at Mount Borradaile have been dated as originating an incredible 50,000 years ago, providing a pictorial evidence of the spiritual beliefs and historical events that are the heritage of the world's oldest surviving culture. Indulge in a sunset cruise on the billabong where you can observe the birds and crocodiles whilst enjoying refreshments and a pre-dinner snack. A brilliant sunset bathing the floodplain in golden colour heralds the return to the main camp for dinner. Try your hand at playing a didgeridoo, discuss the events of the day or sit back and relax or plan your next days adventure, fishing from the banks of the bilabongs, rocky outcrops, boat, or at the waterfalls.

If that's not enough. You will be transferred to the private airstrip to say goodbye to your Hosts and embark on your flight to the famous Cobourg, where peace and tranquility meet the sea.
