A multi-ethnic, multi-lingual society, Belize is an adventurer's paradise. The people are as warm and friendly as the climate, Belmopan, the country's capital city is carved out of the jungle in the centre of Belize. Belize City bustles, steams and swelters and has existed for over 300 years. It is the main commercial area and seaport and the largest city with a mixture of colonial architecture, functional wooden buildings and historic cathedrals. Chinese, Latin and Creole food is widely available, bars and nightclubs are the main meeting points and the local Beliken beer is certainly worth sampling.

Belize is located in the northern hemisphere within Central America, bounded on the north by Mexico and west by Guatemala, the beautiful Caribbean Sea washes it's 174 mile coastline to the east with numerous small islands (Cayes) The coastal strip is low and swampy with mangroves, salt and freshwater lagoons and some sandy beaches crossed by rivers. The shallow offshore Cayes straddle a coral reef second only in size to The Great Barrier Reef and home to a broad range of marine life.

With all these small Islands (cayes) so close to the Barrier Reef means that there is literally hundreds of miles of saltwater flats, channels and lagoons, teaming with fish such as Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon. Making this one of the top saltwater fly fishing destinations visited by anglers every year.
