Whenever we go fishing we want to be as successful as possible, right?
So we're constantly on the look out for any extra advice or information that helps us, right? And of course, we only want to listen to people who actually know what they're talking about.
I'm sure you've had a time when you've got chatting to someone and, after a few minutes, you realise that they haven't got a clue about what they're talking about and all you want to do is to get away from them asap. Well... I've got a guy right here who does know what he's talking about because he's been a hugely successful coarse fisherman in this country (as well as being a tackle shop owner) before he decided to start professionally guiding anglers to many different countries across the world. With his clients catching massive specimens of a very wide range of species from Mahseer to marlin and from trout to tarpon.
His name is Dave Plummer and, as you listen to the interview, you'll discover a truck load of information on a wide range of issues relating to fishing abroad. During the conversation (it's over an hour long(!) so get something to drink whilst you listen), you'll hear Mark and Dave talk about: • How became an angling guide • How fishing abroad is different to fishing in the UK • What a guide can do for you • What to say to the guide to make sure you get what you want • Outstanding fish that his clients have caught • Specific advice to help you plan your fishing holiday • How to deal with captains • How to make sure you charter the right boat or hire the best guide for you • The best place to go for your first overseas fishing holiday • Specific advice on India, Florida, Panama, Canada and Thailand • How to avoid the common mistakes many anglers make when they fish abroad and lots more.
The interview was recorded over the telephone, so the sound quality is not brilliant, but it's good enough to hear what they are talking about.
Don't forget to tell your friends about the interview as well so they can benefit, too.
