Keith and Sue Florida Keys with Dave Plummer Day 3 and 4
Keith and Sue fish both day 3 and 4 with Dave Plummer in the Florida key's and they decide to fish for lighter tackle species> Not every angler always wants to catch the biggest fish and as many big fish as possible, that’s why it is a nice change with both Keith and Sue that after catching their prize Tarpon and first ever tarpon over the magical 100lb they decided they wish to fish for lighter tackle species.
Therefore over the last two days we have been chasing all sorts from Ladyfish to Groupers. You easily forget just how rich and diverse the fishing is on the Florida Keys, mooring up in the various channels fishing light tackle with small jigs, Muppets, spinners, plus just small lumps of fresh fish on small hooks. It is like fishing in someone’s pond on a lucky dip, with every drop a winner but you just do not know what’s going to turn up.
All in all a couple of real great days fishing for Keith and Sue, plus a welcome change for me.
Regards Dave Plummer
PS weather is not good; we have strong winds around 30 to 35MPH which makes fishing difficult and uncomfortable. We have had this wind for a week now so hopefully it will start to die down.
