Jack Simpson Escorted trip Jardines de la Reina
Hi all just back in Havana after our first escorted week on the Tortuga at Jardines de la Reina.
Unfortunately the weather for saltwater fly fishing has been shocking. rain and full cloud everyday made spotting fish very difficult. The guides and all the staff did work very hard to allow us to make the best out of our week, however it was frustrating when you know just how good this place is with even just half decant conditions.
We did manage Tarpon up to 80lb but just not in the numbers expected or any big ones, we had Bonefish up to 8lb but again very difficult to spot or catch.
Lets hope that next week on the Isle of Youth the weather and fishing will be allot better.
Tight Lines Jack Simpsons
