NEWS STORY - Tarpon Fishing in Florida
Dear Angling Direct Holidays
"I just wanted to drop a line to say what a fantastic holiday Ben and I had with Dave Plummer in Florida. Ben has been fishing with Dave for over 14 years and this is the first time I have been with him. Dave is a fantastic guide and host to the highest standard! On our first night out I caught my first tarpon which was an amazing experience! We had a day out fishing in the back country catching Snook which was great fun. Ben also caught his first Goliath Grouper, estimated to be 450lb - it was enormous and an experience Ben will not forgot! I won't be at the Game Fair but I know Ben is planning to come and see you. Finally, it will be a most memorable holiday as Ben also proposed whilst we were on holiday...who knows he may even book the honey moon whilst at the Game Fair!”
Thanks again, Ben Cole and Julie Taylor

NEWS STORY - Big Game Fishing in Costa Rica
Costa Rica has started the year on an absolute flyer! The first trip of the year brought families and couples to the beautiful resort of Crocodile Bay and the fish were there to greet them. Lots of marlin have been caught and though the Dorado action as slowed, there has been enough around for a little garlic and butter. Paul Brown and his friend Dina, recently had an exceptional day catching Tuna. Every day, Dina reminded the skipper she wanted to catch a big fish and the fish gods decided to grant her wish. Together they hooked and tagged a tuna the crew estimated at 350lbs. For seven and a half hours the pair of them battled the great fish and most of the boats in the area came to witness the great fight. Unfortunately the fish had the last laugh as once they had got the remarkable creature to the side of the boat, both hooks decided to part leaving the anglers to wave goodbye as it slipped back down into the depths of the Paciffic.
