Our destination in Thailand, Gillhams Resort, was featured On the National Geographic's Monster Fish, the programme aired last night, and is presented by fish expert Zeb Hogan. Zeb was there filming a programme about the monster arapaima, and if the stories about them where myth or fact!
The other reason for National Geographic’s and Zeb’s visit was to see the excellent fish farming techniques at the Gillhams resort; they netted one of our stock ponds for him. The pond had 100 arapaima at two years old and between 60 and 80lb, plus 150 Amazon red tail catfish between 10 and 20lb. See a clip from the programme below!
