Florida Report, Days 4 & 5
As the celebrations from yesterdays 140lb Tarpon had just finished another started. It was Rob’s birthday today, so he decided to celebrate it with a few cold beers, so there’s not a lot of fishing to report! However normal service will resume tomorrow!
The last day today , and after yesterday I woke with a bit of a sore head, I cant handle it like I used too! However there was no time to stop, there were fish waiting to be caught! The short steam out to the first mark, blew away all the cob webs and cleared the hangover, we were ready to do battle!
We were into fish from the off, no Tarpon but some cracking sport with some hard fighting sharks. We landed numerous fish with the biggest weighing in at a shade over 130lb, we were also lucky enough to get amongst a few Goliath Grouper, with the biggest of these topping 70lb. As the storms rumbled around us, we headed back in from the final trip of the week, and what a week it’s been, some good fishing, with some great company.
Am looking forward to a few days rest now, recharge the batteries ready for the next anglers!
Cheers Dave
