Havoysund is a paradise for all types of sea anglers and nature lovers alike. Its one of the most Northerly destinations in Norway, meaning the cold, clear waters bordering on the Arctic Circle make for the perfect habitat for huge Halibut, Cod, Coalfish, Plaice & Haddock. All the fish species grow to huge specimen proportions, with Halibut being a star attraction with fish in the 10-100kg bracket caught regularly. Last year it produced a colossal fish of 165kg! Cod between 3-15kg are in abundance, and one gem, Havoysund is also famous for is it’s unbelievable Plaice fishing, as just outside the camp in the shallow water of the shoreline large Plaice between 2-4kg are regularly caught.
