Fish Over 50lb, Over 500 For The Week, Smiles All Round... Dave Plummer Reports!
Well we are steaming through another week here in India, I can’t believe it’s already Thursday, the group have only got a few more days left before they depart and a new one arrives!
The last few fishing days have been great, with everyone getting amongst the fish, there’s been lots of fish to mid twenties caught, plus loads of high doubles. Robert Brown has had fish to 25lb, Hugh Miles to just under 30lb, Brian Naylor to 27lb and Gerrry Higham to just over 24lb. We did however have a couple of better fish last night and the biggest of the week, with Pete Dracup landing a cracking Mahseer of 53lb , shortly followed up by Brian Naylor who landed one a few ounces under 50lb!
It seems this week that the anglers have lost a few big fish too, with Darren Slavin, Robert brown and Hugh Miles all hooking and losing fish after lengthy battles. I suppose that’s the way it goes though!
So far we’ve landed 593 fish so far this week, which I think everyone would agree, is a great result!
The weathers been a little cooler than normal, but both the day time and night time temperatures have started to rise a little. The river has also risen a few inches over the past few days so we nearing peak conditions!
Anyway I’ve got some anglers to guide and some fish to catch, so I better get back to it!
Speak soon D.P.
