Had a group of friends and family join us on our last week on the Skeena, so we all hoped the fishing would be good, and it didn’t disappoint. All the guys had a great trip, even though they were all new to fly fishing, they were all successful and all caught fish!
Steve Rothkopf, who was new to fly fishing, had two cracking days, one of these days he hooked eight fish, the other he hooked seven fish. John Hedblom, also new to fly fishing, had a huge steelhead on just his second day. Bill Mummert hooked and landed some cracking Coho and Steelhead.
Even though there was a lot of fish lost, everyone had great fun fighting them and everyone landed some nice fish. Steve’s son’s Michael and Robert had a double header successfully landing nice Steelhead and Coho.
Between the group they landed Steelhead, Coho, Sockeye, Pinks and Dolly Varden (Char). They enjoyed the trip so much; they are already talking about coming back next year!
Here’s a few pictures from there week with us! I think some of the smiles says it all!
