After the excellent first days fishing, day two started off in the same vein with everyone getting amongst a few fish.
Steve Jaques had another memorable day landing another fish over the 40lb mark, making it two forties in two days. John Wolfe managed one a touch under 35lb, Bill Rolfe also landed a fish over 30lb, tipping the scales at a respectable 32lb.
Steve Withers and Stu Wortley both landed fish over the 25lb mark, with Steve’s topping 27lb and Stu’s nudging 28lb.
There was over 40 Masheer landed making it a very respectable total of over 80 fish in two days, pretty good I’d say!
The river is still in good condition, but still a little high, as the catch reports go, this hasn’t made any difference, with the fish still eager to feed. Most of the fish have been landed on hard Ragi baits, but a few have been taken on livebaits.
Was a cold night last night, but everyone has settled into camp life and I must say its been a right old craic so far!
