Dave Plummer Reports From His Group Trip In Costa Rica!

Dave Plummers currently guiding a group trip at the Crocodile Bay lodge in Costa Rica, they are now 3 days into and by the looks of his report and a few of his images it looks like its all going well... take it away Dave!

Well here we are back in Costa Rica once again, I can't believe its been nearly a year since I was last here, I'd almost forgotten how great this place is, both as a holiday destination and as a fishing destination!

The first days fishing was a great start to the week, top rod was probably Colin Galloway, who managed a nice mixed bag of fish, including 4 Rooster fish over 30lb, 4 Jacks and 1 Black snapper. All the other customers got in on the action with Dave Roberts and Tom Telfer landing 7 Jacks and 3 Roosters, Brian Seaby added other Roosters to the tally including one fish over the 40lb mark! A great day was had by all, with everyone impressed with the fishing and the lodge, which I must say is five star!

Day two and again we were staight into fish, Dave Roberts landing a awesome 25lb Dorado, which put up a great scrap and was one truly stunning fish (see pictures), Alan Armstrong and Brian Seaby were also in on the action having another great days sport with a mixture of Jacks and Roosters on lures and bait fish. Colin Galloway and Tom Telfer enjoyed there day trying to lure the mighty Sailfish, and it was these fish that won the day, with 4 fish landed to 7 strikes. They also enjoyed a heart racing half hour as there boat hooked up to 350lb+ Marlin which unfortunately managed to shed the hooks before the leader was grabbed.

Day three already... crazy stuff! Dave Roberts and Alan Armstrong had a day to remember with arm wrenching action from the out set, landing lots of Roosters, Snappers, Bonitos and Jacks as well as 3 cracking Yellowfin Tuna, and 7 Dogtooth Tuna! Brian Seaby landed some more nice Roosters and Jacks, and Tom and Colin done the same! Phew....
