Dave Plummer Reports From Gillhams - 'One Of The Best Destinations I've Ever Been To...'

Dave Plummers currently out in Thailand guiding a group of customers at the excellent Gillhams resort in Krabi. By the sound of his report, he and all the guys are having a great time! Read his report below and check out some great snaps!

Here's the report for today Monday 8th August 2011, the lads are all settling in after the flight, they are finding their feet exploring the lake and relaxing in the sunshine. Their have been some good fish hooked and lost but as they settle down and find the areas to fishing will improve. One angler in the group Martin Hodgkinson has visited Gillhams before so knew what to look for and how to fish the venue, his catch on the first day shows what will n happen here when you settle down. 2 x Arapaima 230lbs and 100lbs, 3 x Siamese carp 55lb/40lb/25lb. 5 x Amazon red tail catfish 50lb/40lb/40lb/20lb/10lb The 10lb fish is a mystery as Stewart tells me they never stocked a red tail below 20lb! so are they breeding? 2 x Tambaqui of 20lb. Martins total on day one 12 fish with two over the magic 100lb barrier. Graham Bradford 2 x Amazon red tail catfish 30lb and 25lb. Barry Lacey 1 x 30lb Amazon red tail catfish. Derek Smedley 1 x Amazon red tail catfish of 25lb.Ray Stocks 1 x Amazon red tail catfish 20lb. Ken Stott 1 x spotted featherback.
