What does this mean?
First, as we have mentioned in September 2012 Gillhams resort will be closed and only available through our escorted trips hosted by Dave Plummer, this also means there will be NO day tickets or other anglers, just the whole complex including the full use of the NEW Lure and fly fishing lake (Normally charged by the hour) for a maximum of 12 anglers. The benefits are there will be more than enough room for you to be able to move around as you wish.
Second, all customer will have the full use of 3 rods per day instead of the normal 2. (3rd rod is normally charged at 1000bht per day but on this exclusive trip is FREE, allowing you to catch more fish.
Third, book 2 weeks back to back and you will receive one nights accommodation and one days fishing Free of charge.
Fourth, as if you need any more reasons, however as the lake will be EXCLUSIVE we can alter the fishing times to suit the fishing and weather conditions at both Dave’s and Stuarts discretion. What does this mean? If the fish are feeding better latter in the day we can change the start and finish times to give you more fishing time latter in the day, resulting in more caught fish.

This purpose built manmade fishery set in 17 acres and located only 1hour from Bangkok has a beautiful landscaped lake of around 9 acres which has been stocked with 42 exotic species such as Arapaima (a species from the Amazon in South America) where in the wild its record size is 83kg! The biggest one caught at this resort so far was a 200kg (over 400lb) and this is not the biggest one in the lake. Other species include the Mekong Catfish up to 120kg. The biggest caught so far is 87kg This is the current IGFA world record which beat the old record also caught here of 84 kg. The resort also holds the current IGFA Chao Phraya Catfish record at 41 ½ kg, Siamese Carp up to 70kg with biggest to date going 56kg not claimed as the line was touched by another person. Another very popular species is the Red Tail Amazon Catfish which when stocked were up to 16kg. Biggest recorded so far is 41kg and they are averaging around 28kg. There are some 20 Barramundi to 15kg already in the lake. Imagine how big they will be in the future considering the astounding growth rate already recorded by a number of species. Another new addition in Feb 2010 was Nile perch stocked at 9 months old and weighing 10lb. Also Atlantic tarpon to 10lb have been stocked. The lake holds six different species exceeding 100lbs, with at least 14 species over current IGFA world records.
5 days full fishing with all tackle, guides and bait provided, accommodation is based on single rooms right on the waters edge, with full amenities that you would expect from a holiday resort. These trips are bound to be full of great fishing and laughs as everyone gets to know each other.
If you want to indulge in other activities whilst at the resort you are only 19km's from the lively seafront town of Ao Nang. The town boasts many top class restaurants, pubs, clubs and unspoiled white sandy beaches. In the surrounding national park there are hot springs and waterfalls with stunning emerald pools to take a refreshing swim after your walk through dense forests. Close by there is also some of the best elephant trekking in Southern Thailand. There is also horse riding, golf courses, shopping for copy designer named goods and souvenirs, boat trips to surrounding islands and white water rafting.
