Colin and John do Panama...big time!

Hi Peter just to report we did arrive safely and everything is in order, been fishing a few days so far and although most days we have been coming in early as heavy showers late in the afternoon we have never experienced the fishing this good.

One day we had 11 Cubera Snappers to 50lb, 4 Roosterfish to 40lb, Wahoo to 40lb, loads of Jacks and 20lb Tuna all too surface poppers, there was just fish everywhere.

Everyday we are getting a minimum of 8 Cubera Snappers and all big ones, they are averaging around the 40lb mark.

We even popped over to the Hannibal bank which is covered in bait balls, birds and hundreds of huge Tuna, casting surface poppers we had a double hook up one of 150lb and the other a nice 170lb Yellowfin Tuna. Good only know how big the ones where we lost just could not stop them. Just amazing.

Then today we had 15 Cubera Snappers to 65lb again all of them over 40lb plus 16 other mixed fish, just alive with fish. We where back at the lodge at lunch time just knackered.

I have travelled the world and fish the majority of the world’s best places but I can honestly say, both me and John have never ever experienced fishing like this. Just amazing and simply can not be beaten.

If anyone wants great popper action, live baiting and big game fishing, Panama has to be the place.

We will keep you informed how the rest of the trip goes shortly, as now its time to drink and party like only me and John know how……now where are those poppers again.
