    Florida Update by Dave Plummer

    Florida Update by Dave Plummer
Weather has been cold, but fishing is improving with the arrival of both Mullet and the big tarpon. The other day Bryce Henderson had 2 Tarpon, The first was estimated at 120 lbs, the second at 140, after which he was not fit to fish any more, plus it was dark. They were caught drifting across the gulf side of channel 5, one on a crab, the other a mullet.

    Florida Update

    Florida Update
I have been guiding on the Florida Keys now for over 15 years and I can honestly say this has been one of the best season ever for both numbers and size of fish. For those of you who have been out with me will know that due to the economic climate which is far worst in America than at home has resulted in a major reduction on the fishing pressure, which consequently has resulted in a huge increase in our results.

    News From India

    News From India
This year we really started to see the pay back for the continued protection of the Cauvery River. As by working with our partners in India the money, we pour in to this river section each year of which a proportion is used to pay guides to be present all year to protect from poaching has resulted in record number of caught fish. (Best day was 52 fish caught with some anglers returning with over 100 Mahseer)

Favourable spring water levels contributed to a successful run of fish well into the middle reaches of the Rio Grande. Kau Tapen anglers landed 1516 fish for the season, 162 fish from 15 to 19 pounds, and 35 fish from 20 to 28 pounds.
