Superb Hotel

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Hemingways following a safari. This is a superb hotel for a relaxing break, with superb food and exceptionally friendly service from all departments. We stayed in a junior suite, which was split level and extremely comfortable. If you do consider this option just check that it has a balcony. Dinner each night was outside with varied entertainment on several evenings.
Drinks prices are very reasonable with a good wine list on offer (numerous South African wines, understandably) and all sensibly priced. The pool bar has a good lunch menu, with extremely well prepared dishes for those who enjoy lunch. The hotel sits on a great beach and to our relief we had no hassle whatsoever. The hotels seem to work well with the local vendors, who have a number of' 'cooperative' style stalls, so great credit to the vendors. Hemingways is not just about fishing, though it does have a superb operation. I only fish on holiday and on this trip, I could not have been in better hands. Despite it being towards the end of the season, I managed a Striped Marlin and a Sailfish along with 80ks of Yellowfin and Dorado.

My husband and I have just returned from this fabulous hotel. Staff are great fun and look after your every need. Food is fantastic - five stars to Omar and his staff!
Rooms are large and comfortable and the beds are turned down every night with flowers put on the pillows.
Do not miss the afternoon teas! Be prepared to put on weight!
We must return next year - can't wait - want to go back now!.
Go for it - you will not be disappointed.

A little piece of heaven!

The hotel was lovely; the staff could not have been more helpful, everything beautifully clean. Food was amazing and so much! Expect to put on weight.
Lots of lovely extras such as afternoon tea, roses on the pillow at night, the bar staff were great and drinks not too pricey, the cocktails very drinkable.
Cannot fault anything at all.
Will be back as soon as we can
