It’s back due to popular request for 2011 Dave Plummer escorted fishing trip to Costa Rica. We have had some great times at this resort over the years and now as the fishing is really back on form its time to go back. That is one of the advantages of our escorted holidays as we will only take you to resorts where the fishing is currently in top form. At this resort the fishing can be divided into two main areas, inshore and offshore with a variety of fishing options such as; live bait, trolling, surface poppers, jigging, and fly-fishing. For inshore, the species most sought after is the Roosterfish. 25lb to 50lb fish are very common with fish over 50lb caught each week. Offshore Sailfish are the main target; these fish are available year round and a half dozen are common any day.

The best big game fishing at the world famous Hemingways in association with Angling Direct Holidays, each year we organise a friendly competition open to all levels of anglers. The competition is based on a max of 18 anglers; Anglers will fish in teams of 3 making a total of 8 teams. For anglers who book as a 3 man team you will remain together. Each team will have 4 full days of 10 hours fishing. Boats are available for your non-competition days at additional cost. Top Sailfish Fishing Guatemala

Guatemala is recognised as the home of the most prolific fishery for Sailfish in the world. Our boats regularly have over 50 shots per day in peak season and you can anticipate 15-25 shots on a “regular” day. Nothing is ever guaranteed in fishing – but this is about as close as you can get if you dream about casting to Sailfish within 20ft of the stern, multiple hook-ups and constant action.
