Just a quick thank you to David for his choice of holiday and Dennis plus his staff for making the whole trip so enjoyable. If you consider this location you will find basic but very clean fishing lodge, however I have been to some very upmarket Salmon lodges and I can tell you the fishing is all that counts and this takes some beating.

Holiday Fears

I ventured north to Alaska from my home a little unsure for what I had let myself in for, your staff had done a good job in understanding my desires but was it going to live up to it? In addition, what about fishing pools with wild bears, not sure, if I feel comfortable with that at all. As my journey brought me closer and closer until the last leg of the journey flying out to the lodge my fears started to dwindle, for the sight of the river and lodge as we flew in made me realise that this was going to be a real adventure. If the rest of the week went as smooth as the organisation so far, I was in for a ball and that is just what it turned out to be. One of the highlights to remember was playing a bright King Salmon before a bear charges the pool, grabs my King and runs off then there I am playing a huge bear, good job that is one hook up we did not land. Thanks to David and Denis for a great trip.
