The season at the Kalum River Lodge is not too far away now, as the temperatures over in Canada to start to warm, the snow stops and frozen lakes and rivers start to melt! The attention of everyone will soon be turned to spring and summer months chasing huge Salmon and Steelhead. Our lodge owner Andrew Rushton has this wonderful river and these fish right on his doorstep all year round, so he's even tempted to get out and wet a line in the cooler months! He sent us this little blog over...
Hi Peter,
Hope all is going well we will soon be gearing up for another great season and hopefully some great summer trips. We have been out fishing and thought you might like a report for your blog.
We had a great day fishing on the Kalum River yesterday. With warm temperatures and sunny skies it was a good time to be on the river. In a few hours we had hooked several Steelhead and some nice trout. I have attached a photo of Deanna Taylor with one of her Steelhead.
Tight lines
Andrew
